Welcome!
As of December 1, 2022, Island Health Care has transitioned to a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Epic.
Scroll down for more details, including answers to frequently asked questions.
Even after we begin using Epic and MyChart, patients will still have access to the FollowMyHealth portal and the information it contains. However, as of December 1, 2022, IHC has transitioned all current EHR operations to MyChart, and will not be adding any new health information to FollowMyHealth.

What are Epic & MyChart?
Epic is a one of the most comprehensive and widely-used health record systems. We are excited about this transition because it will create a more coordinated care experience for patients.
The patient portal offered by Epic, called MyChart, will allow patients and their chosen caregivers to easily access their health information, communicate with providers, and pay bills using an app or webpage on their phone or computer.
Is There a Fee To Use MyChart?
MyChart is a free service offered to patients of Island Health Care.
How Do I Sign Up?
You will be able to sign up for a MyChart account on our website beginning December 1, 2022. Any updates will be posted on this page.
What if I already have a MyChart Account?
If you already have a MyChart account for a different healthcare provider, such as Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, you will not have to create a second account: you can link Island Health Care to your existing account.
Will I Still Have Access to FollowMyHealth?
Even after we begin using Epic and MyChart, patients will still have access to the FollowMyHealth portal and the information it contains. However, as of December 1, 2022, IHC will transition all current EHR operations to MyChart, and will not be adding any new health information to FollowMyHealth.
