Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consultant

Island Health Care is seeking an expert to guide our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives. The consultant will lead in identifying gaps, barriers to access and opportunities to better serve our diverse patient populations. This individual will work closely with the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team to develop a strategic plan for a more respectful and inclusive culture where all patients and employees thrive. With strong communication skills and a sense of collaboration, this individual will provide leadership in the development of programs and processes to leverage diversity, equity and inclusion on all levels within this small, team-based organization. 10-20 hours/week, mostly remote.

Community Health Worker / Care Coordinator

Join our primary care team to assist to coordinate care through partnerships with our patients who experience complex and/or chronic medical and behavioral health conditions. Assist in integrating patient support, self-management, and access to community resources. Massachusetts driver’s license required. Ability to communicate in Brazilian Portuguese a plus.

PAARI National Recovery Corps

Island Health Care (IHC) and the Edgartown Police Department (EPD), through AmeriCorps, are looking for an individual to join the National Recovery Corps and work with IHC and the EPD to establish program needs and implement protocols for the Island community that enable police departments and social service/medical providers to assist their community’s most at-risk populations with substance use disorders and mental health issues. The Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (PAARI) was founded alongside the Gloucester Police Department Angel Initiative in June 2015 and has grown into a movement of nearly 600 law enforcement partners in 34 states. This individual will be a part of a larger cohort of PAARI National Recovery Corps VISTAs spread across the entire nation. Individuals with lived experience with addictions, including those who are personally in recovery, are ideal candidates for this position.

The testing site at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School is open from 9AM to 4PM Monday-Saturday. Volunteers will be needed at the test site. If interested, please email
