Island Health Care
A Federally Qualified Community Health Center serving the island of Martha's Vineyard
At Island Health Care, our mission is to ensure all islanders and visitors, regardless of income or insurance status, have access to high-quality health care. We are proud to be part of a national system of health centers with common patient-centered standards, goals, and performance requirements. Our clinicians—nurse practitioners, nurses, psychiatrists, and collaborating physicians—are here when you need them, ready to provide the care you deserve.
Registration is open now for CCAR Recovery Coach Training, to be held March 13-23 in the Hazel Teagan Room at the Vineyard House. You can learn more & register here.
Following the model created by the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR), coaches will learn how to help people explore their relationship with substances, and identify and create the building blocks of a life without the need for drugs and alcohol, all by focusing on people’s strengths, abilities, and resiliencies.
